Bucks County Cultural Society's archival holdings date from 1686 to the present. Below you will find some of the areas and topics our holdings cover, along with an overview of some of our collections. Please Note: This is not a comprehensive list of our holdings.

This collection consists of items primarily related to the business activities of H.H. Cope. Dates range from the late 19th to the early 20th century. A five page typed sketch, dated March 1, 1943, is also present. This sketch contains information on Jacob Erdman Cope and the history of the Cope family.
Description:
This collection consists of items chiefly related to the life of Charles L. Doan of Yardleyville, PA. Contents of this collection include two diaries, one from 1957 and the other from 1960. Other items represented: 47 photos and various papers pertaining to the Mid Jersey Region Inc Model A Restorers Club.

This collection consists of items chiefly related to the General Greene Inn & the following families: Joos, Wehmeyer, and Wilson. Included are the storefront letters from Edna's Antique Shop, original art, business cards, two photo albums, loose photos, postcards, printer's block, yearbooks, and more.
Henry Mercer: Typed and signed draft letter on BCHS letterhead. Letter is dated February 25, 1925 and is addressed to J. Carroll Tobias Esq. of Bethlehem, PA. Mercer's two page letter was written in response to Mr. Tobias's letter of Feb. 23rd of the same year. In reply to Mr. Tobias, Mercer provides his opinion on the design and origin of a particular tomahawk.
Lela Mercer: Aldie RPPC sent to Her Excellency Lady Cartwright. Postcard was postmarked in Doylestown at 9 PM on Nov. 14, 1910. A portion of Lela's message is pictured to the left.
William Mercer: Collection of eight hand stamped 8x10 inch cards from Ornamental Concrete Works of Doylestown, PA. These cards feature numerous works in concrete by William Mercer. Cards are numbered in the upper righthand corner using Roman numerals. Collection is incomplete. Our holdings cover the following cards: I, II, III, IV, VI, VIII, IX, and XI.

This collection consists of items primarily related to the lives of J.A. Peter & Ralph Beaver Strassburger. Correspondence and photographs are present and illustrate the family's connection to Normandy Farm in Gwynedd Valley, PA, along with their connection to Ferne du Coteau-Deauville in France.

Description:
Leo Weinreb worked on the development of the video camera used by American astronauts to deliver (to network TV) the first live images of our planet from space. This collection contains many images relating to Weinreb and his family. Also included are items pertaining to Mr. Weinreb's education and career.
